Alumni Awards

Calling all alumni! Please take a minute to think of a fellow classmate, alumnus, friend or even a former faculty member that exemplifies any of the awards noted below to make a nomination, please click here.

Rising Star Award

Recognizes young alumni who have already distinguished themselves in their professional achievements.

  • Recipient must have earned their first pharmacy degree within the last 10 years from the UIC College of Pharmacy (2008-present). 
  • Recipient must be present to receive award.

Alumnus of the Year

The highest honor given to an alumnus by the College of Pharmacy, this award recognizes distinguished careers in pharmacy, service to the profession and loyalty to the College.

  • Recipient must have a distinguished career (administrator, author, business, educator, practice, research, etc.). 
  • Recipient must be a leader/innovator in the profession. 
  • Recipient must have contributed to the profession. 
  • Recipient must be present to receive award. 
  • Recipient must be a graduate of the College.

Jesse Stewart Service Award

This award, named in honor of a former faculty member recognizes a person who has been generous in their service to the profession, the community and/or the College. The honoree does not need to be an alumnus of the College.

  • Open to alumni, faculty and friends of the College.
  • Recipient must be present to receive the award.

Legacy Achievement Award

This award will be given out annually to honor individuals who have left an invaluable and lasting impression on the College and the pharmacy profession as a whole. The award will honor the longstanding history of the College by celebrating its tradition of excellence in research, pharmacy education, pharmacy practice and administration at the College, state and national level -- and beyond. In order to recognize all the parts that make the College whole.

  • Recipients can be, but are not limited to alumni, donors, faculty (current or former) of the College.
