The University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Pharmacy, Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. A PhD degree in Synthetic Organic or Medicinal Chemistry or related discipline and relevant postdoctoral experience are required. Successful candidates will have the potential to develop and maintain a strong, extramurally funded, independent research program. The new faculty is expected to establish strong collaborations with the department faculty and play an active role in the UICentre for Drug Discovery. Teaching in the professional and graduate programs of the College of Pharmacy is required. Priority will be given to research in synthetic medicinal chemistry, preferably in the area of cancer, neurodegenerative diseases and/or the human microbiome.
