SUMMARY:Atkins Garden Walk &amp; Norman Farnsworth Lecture
DESCRIPTION:Every August, the Atkins Medicinal Plant Garden hosts a one-day Garden Walk event that is open to the public. Faculty and scientists, including postgraduate trainees in UIC's Pharmacognosy Institute and the Retzky College of Pharmacy, will provide tours of the garden from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.    The Garden Walk will also feature the Distinguished Annual Norman R. Farnsworth Lecture, presented this year by Dr. Jean-Luc Wolfende at 12:30 p.m.    The Farnsworth Lectureship in Pharmacognosy is hosted in memory of Norman R. Farnsworth, who was one of the College's most dedicated pharmacy educators and internationally renowned, transformational pharmacognosy researchers.
