Rory and Judy Albert Scholarship
This scholarship is open to any student (P1, P2, P3 or P4) enrolled at the College of Pharmacy who are in great financial need. This scholarship is solely based on financial need — the donor struggled financially and almost dropped out of pharmacy school until he received a scholarship which allowed him to continue.

Dean Emeritus Jerry Bauman, PharmD Endowed Scholarship
The Dean Emeritus Jerry L. Bauman, PharmD Endowed Scholarship shall support for pharmacy students pursuing clinical pharmacy practice. Preference shall be given to students focused on cardiology pharmacy.

Dr. Mark J. Bachleda and Dr. Joy E. Zarlenga Scholarship
This scholarship is open all pharmacy students (P1, P2, P3, P4) currently enrolled at the UIC College of Pharmacy. Recipient(s) shall achieve academic excellence, demonstrate leadership and have financial need.

BARTELS AND BAUMAN FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
The Bartels and Bauman Family Scholarship shall support pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students enrolled on the Rockford campus with a preference for students who demonstrate career interest in providing patient care in a rural community following their graduation.

BARTELS FAMILY PHARMACEUTICS LAB SCHOLARSHIP
The Bartels Family Pharmaceutics Lab Scholarship shall support Pharmacy students, P1 or P2 students on either campus, who exhibit academic merit, specifically those who have excelled in pharmaceutics lab coursework.

Title
The Edward Benes Scholarship is open to pharmacy students at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Students to receive the scholarships shall be selected by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, University of Illinois at Chicago, or designee, with the approval of the appropriate University of Illinois officials.

Edwin and Frances Betteldorf Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to reward a P3 or P4 student who has demonstrated academic achievement (GPA greater than or equal to 3.5), an uncompromising determination to succeed, and passion for the profession. Preference given to a student whose parents have not earned baccalaureate or higher degrees and has a strong desire to pursue a clinical pathway and/or residency post-graduation. A need based scholarship. No repeat winners.

Michael A. Boge, RPh Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Michael A. Boge, RPh Memorial Scholarship shall support Pharm.D. students with a demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to students enrolled on the Rockford campus and interested in a career in community practice.

The Charles P. Bondy Memorial Scholarship is awarded to student(s) (P1, P2, P3, P4) enrolled at the College of Pharmacy with a demonstrated financial need.

Joan and Bradley Cannon Excellence in Interprofessional Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to reward a P3 or P4 student at the College of Pharmacy who display leadership in their promotion among other healthcare providers of the value of the profession of pharmacy in improving patient health.

The UIC College of Pharmacy Class of 1983 Endowed Scholarship shall support Pharmacy student(s) who have a demonstrated financial need.

UIC Pharmacy Clinical Scientist Group Scholarship
Established by Mayowa M. Agbaje-Williams, PharmD ’14, MPH and Mr. Matthew J. Kehrein, this scholarship supports Pharm.D. students with a demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to historically underrepresented students that contribute to the diversity of the student body, with further preference given to students involved in the Black Pharmacy Student Association (BPhSA).

Jenny Colombo, PharmD '89 Student Leadership Scholarship
The Jenny Colombo, PharmD ’89 Student Leadership Scholarship fund shall support scholarships at the College of Pharmacy. Preference is awarding the scholarship shall be given to members of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association, SNPhA, (as long as the organization is active at the College) who demonstrate leadership in promoting the profession of pharmacy.

The Dr. John B. Coleman and Jill A. Coleman scholarship is open to a currently enrolled pharmacy student (P1, P2, P3, or P4) with a demonstrated financial need.

Benjamin and Esther Crawford Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is awarded to P2 to P4 year students who demonstrate an underlying commitment to the UIC community and/or patients in an academic, research, or employment setting while at the College. Preference is given to students who have a demonstrated commitment to reduce or address health disparities through professional and/or community-based efforts.

I. B. Crystal Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship is for a second year (P2) student at the College of Pharmacy who has financial need and who achieved a GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 during his or her P1 year. The student shall also exhibit interest in community pharmacy and further interest in management responsibilities.

CVS Health Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all pharmacy students (P1, P2, P3, or P4) who are in good academic standing and who are interested in a career in community practice. At least 25% of the scholarship must be awarded to fluent speaking bilingual student(s), preference given to the Spanish language. If no student meets this requirement, scholarship will not be given.

CVS Health Foundation Spanish Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all pharmacy students (P1, P2, P3, or P4) who are in good academic standing and who are interested in a career in community practice. 100% of the scholarship must be awarded to students proficient in Spanish. If no student(s) meets this requirement, scholarship will not be given. Two (2) recipients will be selected.

S. Albert and Janice Edwards Scholarship
Awarded to a first or second year (P1 or P2) pharmacy student with a less established academic record (GPA 2.5 ) and is in great financial need. The student must write a 250-word essay answering the following question: What topic, situation or event motivated you the most to want to become a pharmacist? Explain why.

Herbert M. Emig Award Clinical Pharmacy Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a student in his or her final year (P4) of pharmacy school who excels in all areas of the clinical pharmacy courses.

The Fitzsimmons Family Scholarship shall support pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students with a demonstrated financial need.

Dr. Christina K. Fleming Endowed Scholarship
The Dr. Christina K. Fleming Endowed Scholarship shall support Ph.D. scholarships in the UIC College of Pharmacy, which may include travel or research scholarships. Recipients shall be Ph.D. students and have a demonstrated financial need.

Dr. Robin Ford Nash Clinical Pharmacy Scholarship
The Experiential Team from the Department of Pharmacy Practice will nominate three (3) third year (P3) students at the end of the fall semester who, through their introductory pharmacy experiences (IPPE), have demonstrated a strong interest in pursuing a clinical practice career. The nominated students shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the end of that fall semester. Candidates will be notified of their nominations at the beginning of the spring semester and asked to submit a one-page paper addressing their career goals. These papers will be reviewed by the Department of Pharmacy Practice faculty and recipients shall be selected as a result of their evaluation. Recipients are nominated and selected by the Department of Pharmacy Practice.

Dr. Norman A. Garges Eagle Scout Scholarship:
The Dr. Norman A. Garges Eagle Scout Scholarship recipient shall be awarded to a student (P1, P2, P3, P4) enrolled at the College of Pharmacy who have participated in Boy Scouts of America with a preference towards Eagle Scouts.

UIC College of Pharmacy Geriatric Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to reward a current pharmacy student (P1, P2, P3 or P4). The recipient must have demonstrated efforts for students who wish to pursue a career in the Geriatric aspects of pharmacy. Student must be in good academic standing.

Ted R. and Jean L. Gladson Family Scholarship Fund
The Ted R. and Jean L. Gladson Family scholarships shall support students with a demonstrated financial need and preference shall be given to students who are members of the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity.

Myron Goldsmith Memorial Scholarship
The Myron Goldsmith Memorial Scholarship shall support students at the discretion of the Dean.

Greek American/Hellenic Pharmacy Student Scholarship
This need-based scholarship seeks to reward a P2, P3 or P4 student who displays proven academic ability (GPA greater than or equal to 3.0) and has demonstrated community service or leadership experience.

Reed G. Henninger Scholarship in Pharmacy Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to reward two (2) current pharmacy students (P1, P2, P3 or P4). Recipients shall be selected based upon the demonstrated need for financial aid and scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to award to worthy students who need financial aid to help enter or stay in the College of Pharmacy, the scholarship shall be made in such a manner as to promote this purpose. A monetary award presented to two (2) students.

ICHP Past Presidents Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a pharmacy student (P1, P2, P3, P4) who has financial need, is in good academic standing. Demonstrated leadership and community involvement.

Illinois Council of Health Systems Pharmacists (ICHP) Student Award
Recipient(s) must be in their third year (P3) of pharmacy school, active in professional organizations and demonstrate a high degree of character and leadership. Recipient(s) MUST be a student member of the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists. Recipient(s) must have a past history of employment in a hospital or health-system as a student pharmacist. Recipient(s) must be an Illinois resident or Illinois high school graduate.

Illinois Pharmacists Association (IPhA) Foundation Leadership Award Scholarship
Recipient(s) must be in his or her final year (P4) of pharmacy school. Current IPhA member at the time of selection who has done the most to promote the profession through leadership and involvement in professional associations. One year IPhA membership required for first post-graduate year.

Mowry-Jacobi Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner Scholarship
The Mowry-Jacobi Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner Scholarship shall support PharmD student scholarships at the College of Pharmacy. Preference shall be given to students with a stated interest in pursuing a career in a hospital setting focusing on either Critical Care or Emergency Medicine/Toxicology.

Jewel-Osco Drug Pharmacy Scholarship
This scholarship is open to students in one of the final years of pharmacy school (P2, P3 or P4). Students must have a GPA greater than or equal to a 3.0. Student who has positively contributed to advancing the spirit of the student body through leadership roles in extracurricular activities, outstanding academic achievement, aspirations to practice in community pharmacy; currently employed in community pharmacy setting. Preference may be given to an Albertsons Companies employee.

The Dr. Joseph, Rose Family Scholarship shall support Pharm.D. students. Recipients shall have financial need and academic merit (as may be demonstrated by a grade point average of 2.7 or higher).

Kirklys Family Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to reward a current pharmacy student in any class (P1, P2, P3 or P4). Only candidates who identify their ethnic heritage as Baltic, Northern European or Central European are eligible for this award. Preference shall be that the scholarship shall be awarded to a female student who is a mother with the concurrent responsibilities of raising and caring for on a daily basis a minor child or children while attending the College of Pharmacy. Such minor child or children must be the biological or legally adopted child or children of the recipient.

The Dr. Ronald L. Koch Scholarship is open to a currently enrolled pharmacy student (P1, P2, P3, or P4) with demonstrated financial need.

Joseph Anton Koren Memorial Scholarship
Given to a P2, P3 or P4 student enrolled at the UIC College of Pharmacy. The student must demonstrate evidence of community service and leadership.

Zora Kosanovich Memorial Scholarship
The student shall be entering his or her final year (P4) of pharmacy school. Must have a minimum overall “C” GPA (2.0/4.0), demonstrate outstanding leadership and communication skills and have an interest in retail community pharmacy practice. Must possess an outstanding commitment to the profession through participation in student organizations and/or professional organizations, strong interest in community pharmacy practice.

Nora and Takis Kotis Scholarship
Established by Desi Kotis, BS ’83, PharmD ’94 and her husband David Holmes, the net income from the Nora and Takis Kotis Scholarship will provide a scholarship for students at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy. This scholarship is open to currently enrolled students at the College in his or her P2 or P3 year. The recipient shall demonstrate academic achievement with a GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Jerome Landsman Scholarship
The Jerome Landsman Scholarship, Class of 1951, was established in 2015 by Jerome’s cousin, Lawrence DuBow, Class of 1953, in recognition of Jerome’s 90th birthday. Jerome’s wishes for the fund are to provide scholarship(s) for student(s) enrolled at the College of Pharmacy (P1, P2, P3 or P4) who have great financial need.

This scholarship seeks to reward a P3 or P4 student from the Rockford campus who is in good academic standing (GPA > 3.0) and actively promotes the profession of pharmacy through community outreach. The student shall be someone who exemplifies leadership.

The Maddux-Veremis Scholarship shall support pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students with demonstrated financial need.

This scholarship is awarded to a third (P3) or fourth (P4) year pharmacy student who is in good academic standing and has positively contributed to advancing the spirit of the student body through leadership roles and/or has demonstrated his or her commitment to advancing the profession of pharmacy with career aspirations to practice in clinical pharmacy and/or academics. The Martin Family Endowed Scholarship shall support currently enrolled pharmacy students in any class (P1, P2, P3, P4). Recipients shall have academic merit and financial need. Preference shall be given to students that demonstrate leadership achievement and a commitment to the profession of pharmacy.

This scholarship seeks to reward a current P3 student who has demonstrated service to the College and community. The student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

College of Pharmacy National Advisory Board Scholarship
In 2015, the National Advisory Board for the UIC College of Pharmacy, composed of leaders throughout the world of pharmacy, teamed up together to endow a scholarship to benefit our students. Scholarship is open to currently enrolled students (P1, P2, P3, P4) with demonstrated leadership.

National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to reward a current second (P2), third (P3) or fourth (P4) year pharmacy student. Student must have completed at least one professional year of pharmacy school to apply. First year (P1) pharmacy students are not eligible. Preference should be given to a student with experience in community pharmacy, as well as a desire to pursue a career in community pharmacy. Student must have strong oral and written communication skills, and excel at patient counseling. Student must be in good academic standing.

North Suburban Pharmacists of Chicagoland Achievement Improvement Award Scholarship
This award shall be awarded to a College of Pharmacy student in his or her third year (P3) of pharmacy school. In recognition of academic improvement, community involvement/leadership, and exhibition of a renewed career focus. No repeat winners allowed. Award to be presented at a North Suburban Pharmacists of Chicagoland meeting as well as the UIC College of Pharmacy’s annual Honors Convocation.

Northern Illinois Pharmacists Association Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to reward a current pharmacy student in any class (P1, P2, P3, or P4) enrolled at the Rockford Campus of the UIC College of Pharmacy who is/are in good academic standing. Preference shall be given to a student at the Rockford campus or to students who demonstrate an interest in practicing in Rockford or another rural community after they graduate.

Sandra and Tae Park Family Scholarship Fund
The Sandra and Tae Park Family Scholarship shall support pharmacy scholarships. Recipients shall be selected based on academic merit, and meet the following criteria: 1) Must be enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Professional Program; 2) Must be an immigrant or child of immigrants, both parents if from a two-parent household or one parent if from a single-parent household; and, 3) Must include a personal statement/essay describing “how they go ‘above and beyond’ to have lasting positive impact to the well-being of their family and/or community.” Preference shall be given to students in the Chicago campus. The scholarship shall not be renewable.

The Patel Family Scholarship for Independent and Community Pharmacy Fund shall support Pharmacy students with a demonstrated career interest in providing patient care to the underserved in an independent or community pharmacy-setting.

Charles Wesley Petranek Memorial Scholarship
The Charles Wesley Petranek Memorial Scholarship shall be used to support a student who has a demonstrated financial need.

Pharmacy Sparky Penquin Midwest Friendship P4 Scholarship Fund
Recipients shall be selected based on demonstrated financial need. The Fund shall give preference to students from either Illinois or Ohio.

Phi Delta Chi Memorial Award Scholarship
Recipient shall be an active member in good standing of Alpha Sigma Chapter (UIC) of Phi Delta Chi Fraternity at UIC with preference to members who are in his or her next to final year (P3), as well as members who have participated in a chapter committee and/or served as a chapter officer and who has a reputation for community service, professionalism and leadership as exemplified by Marco Villa, PharmD ’96.

Drs. Deborah and Stephen Piscitelli Endowed Scholarship
The Drs. Deborah and Stephen Piscitelli Endowed Scholarship shall support P3 and P4 pharmacy students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry. This scholarship is designed to assist students as they advance their education towards a career in drug development in the pharmaceutical sector. First preference shall be given to students who have pharmaceutical industry experience (e.g., internship) and/or research experience (e.g., within the pharmacy school). Secondary preference shall be given to students who plan to pursue a career as a researcher either in the pharmaceutical industry or in an alternate pharmaceutical setting (e.g., an academic or government entity). Students under consideration for this scholarship should be in good academic standing.

The Professor Nicholas G. Popovich Endowed Scholarship shall support pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students with a demonstrated financial need.

This scholarship is open to all pharmacy students (P1, P2, P3, or P4). The recipient(s) shall be selected based upon a combination of academic merit and demonstrated need for financial aid.

Herb and Carol Retzky Scholarship
Herb and Carol Retzky would like their scholarship to support a student who has displayed an interest in or a commitment to the wellbeing of Israel. Any PharmD student in the college is welcome to apply (P1-P4).

This scholarship seeks to reward a current pharmacy students in any class (P1, P2, P3 or P4). Academic merit; demonstrated need for financial aid. Preference shall be given to students who are enrolled in the Rockford Pharmacy program or to students who demonstrate an interest in practicing in a rural community after they graduate.

This need-based scholarship seeks to reward a current pharmacy student (P1, P2, P3 or P4), in good academic standing, who is active in a least one student organization. Preference given to a bilingual, Spanish-speaking student. No repeat winners.

Dr. Alice Romie Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship honors the life of Alice Romie, PharmD ’94. Preference is given to PharmD students with a demonstrated financial need and who best describe a significant event or challenge they have faced, explaining how they overcame that challenge, its impact on them, and how they have -or- will use what they have experienced to help others.

The Paul Sang Memorial Scholarship in the College of Pharmacy Fund shall be used to provide scholarship support to those with a demonstrated financial need.

Scholarship for Outstanding Pharmacy Leadership and Service
The Scholarship for Outstanding Pharmacy Leadership and Service recipient(s) shall be for a student(s) in his or her P3 or P4 year in good academic standing and can demonstrate financial need. Recipient(s) shall also be active in the College of Pharmacy and the profession, which may be demonstrated by leadership, community service, advocacy, involvement in student organizations, or other such activities. Preference shall be given to students interested in community pharmacy.

The Schriever – Einhorn Family Scholarship shall support students (P1, P2, P3, P4) enrolled at the Rockford Campus of the UIC College of Pharmacy with demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to a student at the Rockford campus.

This scholarship seeks to reward a current pharmacy student (P1, P2, P3 or P4). Based on academic merit and demonstrated need for financial aid and demonstrated leadership.

The Douglas A. Shehorn College of Pharmacy Fund shall support students at the discretion of the Dean and/or their designee.

Presented to a third year (P3) pharmacy student who has excelled on the law exam/class. The recipient is chosen by professor or adjunct who administers the exam.

This scholarship seeks reward a P3 or P4 student enrolled at the UIC College of Pharmacy. Recipient must demonstrate a significant financial need where your financial means have changed drastically since starting pharmacy school.

Siegert Family Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a second (P2), third (P3) or fourth (P4) year pharmacy student who is in good academic standing, has proven leadership skills, active in community citizenship (COP Student Orgs or outside volunteer work) and has demonstrated their interest in the Pharmaceutical Industry or Managed Care (work/internship experience is a plus).

Edward F. Skorczewski, Jr. Memorial Award Scholarship (Polish American Pharmacists Association)
This scholarship shall be made to third-year (P3) student who exhibits care and concern for the welfare of others and has engaged in community service.

Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) Scholarship
The SNPhA Scholarship shall support Pharm.D. students. Recipients shall have an involvement with and interested in keeping the SNPhA and NPhA (National Pharmaceutical Association) organizations (including their missions and visions) alive, relevant, important, engaged, and growing in an era of pharmacy professional organization membership choice.

Jack and Margaret Stites Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to reward a current pharmacy student in any class (P1, P2, P3 or P4). Recipient shall have a demonstrated interest in drug abuse prevention among youth.

Stoller-Zeman Scholarship
This scholarship is given to a student in his or her P3 or P4 year in good scholastic standing, and working his or her way through school.

The Thomas Family Scholarship shall support scholarships for students (Pharm.D.). Recipients shall have demonstrated financial need.

The Unity in Diversity Scholarship celebrates the value of diversity and compassion for the human spirit by recognizing a pharmacy student committed to social justice and giving back to her/his community.

Urban Health Program Pharmacy Scholarship
This need based scholarship seeks to reward a second year (P2) pharmacy student who displays a proven academic ability (GPA greater than or equal to 3.0) and has demonstrated community service experience. Strong preference given to an African American or Hispanic student; if no candidate of African American or Hispanic descent applies, then the scholarship shall not be awarded that year, the funds to be carried over to the subsequent year. W E Van Doren Scholarship
The W. E. Van Doren Scholarship is awarded to any student (P1, P2, P3 and P4) enrolled at the College of Pharmacy in good academic standing and demonstrated need.

C.P. Van Schaack Award in Pharmacy
Student should be in his or her final year (P4) of pharmacy school who has the highest GPA in the chemistry courses. This is a non-monetary award. Recipient will receive a commemorative plaque.

Lauren Taylor Vitrano Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to reward a current pharmacy student in any class (P1, P2, P3 or P4). Recipient shall have demonstrated financial need and an interest in mental health awareness.

Walgreens Diversity & Inclusion Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship is to be awarded to a single student with an interest in community pharmacy and meets at least one of the following criteria: embraces diversity and promotes diversity and inclusion initiatives on campus and represents an underrepresented minority group.

Walgreens Multilingual Scholarship
Scholarship should be awarded to a single student who is fluent speaking in one or more languages in addition to English with an interest in community pharmacy.

Washington & Old Dominion Biologics, Inc. Scholarship
The Washington & Old Dominion Biologics, Inc. Scholarship shall give preference to PharmD students that have completed their first year and are considering a career in research in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or government regulatory sectors.

George L. Webster Professional Service Award Scholarship
Presented to a third year (P3) pharmacy student who has demonstrated outstanding service to the College and to the profession of pharmacy.

Lester Weitzman ’46 Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Fund shall support scholarships in the Unit. Recipients shall be selected based on demonstrated financial need.
A scholarship made possible thanks to Dr. Carol Retzky on behalf of her late husband, Herb, BS ’46, who served with Lester as class leaders.

Westerkamp Family Endowed Scholarship
The Westerkamp Family Endowed Scholarship shall support scholarship for students (P1, P2, P3, P4) enrolled at the College of Pharmacy. Recipient(s) shall have financial need and a history of community service or volunteerism.

Jim and Phyllis White Scholarship Fund
The Jim and Phyllis White Scholarship shall support pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students with a demonstrated financial need.

The Wirth Family Scholarship
This scholarship is to be awarded to a third (P3) or fourth (P4) year pharmacy student who has financial need, is in good academic standing and has positively contributed to advancing the spirit of the student body through student organizations or volunteer work. Preference shall be given to a student who has demonstrated his or her commitment to advancing the profession of pharmacy with career aspirations to practice in clinical pharmacy and/or academics.

Lloyd Yale Memorial Scholarship:
The Lloyd Yale Memorial Scholarship shall be awarded to student(s) enrolled at the College of Pharmacy (P1, P2, P3, P4) with a demonstrated financial need.
