Overview:
Juliana Chan is a clinical pharmacist and clinical associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy and in the Section of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition and Section of Hepatology at the UIC College of Medicine. Dr. Chan obtained her B.S. and Pharm.D. degrees from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. She then completed a pharmacy practice residency and a specialized residency in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Michigan. At UIC, she teaches and conducts research in gastroenterology and hepatology, focusing her research efforts in the area of viral hepatitis. She created the Specialty Hepatitis C Pharmacist-Run Clinic in 2002 at the University of Illinois Medical Center and now oversees and treats patients in the Illinois Department of Corrections Telemedicine Hepatitis Clinic. Dr. Chan is involved in many medical and pharmacy organizations, including AASLD, ACCP and ASHP.

Research Interests:
Research interest included gastroenterology and hepatology, focusing on research efforts in the area of viral hepatitis.
