Women’s History Month Profile: Dr. Rosalie Sagraves
The UIC College of Pharmacy celebrates Women's History Month and the endless contributions that women pharmacists have made to the profession and the industry.
The first icon we're honoring for the month is Dr. Rosalie Sagraves, Dean Emerita and Professor Emerita of UIC College of Pharmacy. Dr. Sagraves was Professor of Pharmacy Practice and the Dean of the College from 1995 to 2008. She also served as the co-director of the Department of Health and Human Services Center of Excellence in Women's Health from 1998 to 2007.
Before these roles, Dr. Sagraves held positions with the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy from 1985 to 1995, including professor, assistant dean, associate department head and associate professor and clinical pharmacist at Children's Hospital. From 1978 to 1985, Dr. Sagraves was an associate professor and assistant professor at the University of Texas College of Pharmacy and clinical pharmacist at Brackenridge Hospital.
Dr. Sagraves was also the inaugural featured speaker for the Women Pharmacist Day program in 2018.
