Overview:
Dr. Karen Juco is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy (COP) and a Clinical Pharmacist at the Medication Therapy Management Clinic in University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science College of Pharmacy in North Chicago, Illinois. She completed post-graduate training at UIC in a Post-Graduate Year-1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency program. Dr. Juco’s primary responsibilities as a clinical pharmacist include adherence support, chronic disease co-management with other healthcare providers, and medication optimization. As a clinical assistant professor, she is responsible for precepting pharmacy students and residents, as well as participating in didactic learning activities, such as lectures, recitations, and more.
