Overview:
I am Director of UICentre, UIC’s campus-wide drug discovery enterprise. I am deeply honored to hold the Hans W. Vahlteich Chair in Medicinal Chemistry in the College of Pharmacy, where I am Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences, I hold a secondary appointment as Professor of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Research Interests:
Drug discovery for infectious disease, in particular malaria.
Teaching Statement:
Each Spring Term I team teach in PSCI 530 Medicinal Chemistry, focusing on drug metabolism and prodrugs.
