RPHARM student pharmacists present their capstone projects at Rockford Research Day

RPHARM

The concentration in rural pharmacy services, also known as the Rural Pharmacy Education (RPHARM) Program, is an option within the Doctor of Pharmacy degree program. The goal of the RPHARM Program is to educate students about the unique challenges and opportunities present in rural communities and to prepare them to practice pharmacy in a patient-centered and interprofessional manner.

Fourth-year RPHARM and RMED students work in pairs to develop and implement a project that is tailored to the health needs of a specific rural community.  These projects range from providing health education to children to teaching community members how to cook healthy food on a budget.

Our Class of 2021 PharmD candidates' presented their capstone projects at the 2021 Rockford Research Day. Please find their presentations below.
