Research Interests:
My research interests specifically focus on natural products, traditional medicines and botanical dietary supplements and their application in the broad sense to the treatment of women’s reproductive health disorders and osteoporosis, as well as infectious diseases and their chronic health consequences. My research also is involved with understanding the association of vitamin deficiencies (particularly vitamins A and D) with the development and metastasis of epithelial cancers. Much of this work has been funded by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Heath at the NIH, the World Health Organization, the First Analysis Institute for Integrative Health, and other foundations and funding sources.
