GRE Scores can be waived for those that have a PharmD in the US, however we do highly encourage submission of them.

For all others, GRE Scores are required.

The department does not have a minimum when it comes to GRE scores. Generally, the higher scores on GRE exams are the most competitive for our applicants. We look at each subsection including analytical – both actual score and percentiles, and thus it is not possible to state a ‘minimum’ GRE score.

If you are an international student seeking entrance into our program and are not currently studying or working in the United States, yes. TOEFL scores older than two years from the test date are considered invalid, and you will have to retake the test. Your official TOEFL scores must be submitted directly to the University of Illinois at Chicago by the Educational Testing Services, Institution Code: 1851.

We have established the following minimums for the Internet-based TOEFL: Writing 22, Speaking 23, Listening 21, and Reading 21 — Total 90.
Alternatively, we would also accept IELTS exam scores for English competency; at last 6.5 would be required overall and in all sections.

No, please do not send your transcripts to the Department by mail. The application process is 100% online. The Graduate College and the Department do not require official transcripts to review and process your application. Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded to your application in their place.
