Admissions Requirements

Students may apply to this program once they earn a minimum of 58 credit hours of college-level coursework. All courses must be a minimum of 3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours, with a grade of C or above.

If you plan to transfer to UIC, Transferology® can help you determine which courses transfer to UIC and will fulfill the Pre-Pharmaceutical Sciences requirements.

Application information for High School Students

High school students cannot apply to the program directly. They are encouraged to apply to UIC using the Common App, and then transfer/apply to BSPS once they have earned enough credit at UIC or another college.

Although not the same as applying to the BSPS, high school students with a strong academic background may also want to consider the GPPA program for guaranteed admissions into UIC’s PharmD program.
